   Once you place your order our bakers begin the task of baking fresh each bakery item. To ensure we have the proper amount of time to bake, cool and ship your product all orders placed after 2:00 p.m. will ship the next day. Please use the following as a guideline to ensure your Au Bon Pain gift basket will arrive in time:

Ground Service 3-7 business days
2 Day Service 2 business days
Next Day/Overnight                       Next business day
Saturday Delivery Upon request - please call 1-800-765-4227 for quote

  • Ground shipping - orders placed by Friday at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) will ship that day. Orders placed after 2 p.m. will ship on Monday.
  • Overnight delivery (both regular and early a.m.) - orders placed by 2 p.m. EST will ship that day. Orders placed after 2 p.m. will ship the next business day.
  • Overnight delivery on Friday - you can choose Saturday delivery for orders placed by Friday at 2 p.m. EST (extra Saturday delivery charge will apply).
  • Delays may occur due to weather conditions - shipping agent's inclement weather policy prevails.
Shipping Restrictions
   All Au Bon Pain products can be shipped to all 50 states. However, there are a few restrictions:
  • Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii - please call 1-800-765-4227 for limited shipping options.
  • All items ship from our centralized location in Boston, MA.
  • International Deliveries, Puerto Rico and U.S. Protectorates - please call 1-800-765-4227.
  • For P.O. Boxes deliveries, please call 1.800.765.4227.
 
Undeliverable Packages
   Occasionally packages are returned to us as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we'll send an e-mail notifying you of the return. We will be more than happy to refresh your package and re-ship to the correct address. A second shipping charge will need to be applied.
 
 
Failed Delivery Attempts
   Our carriers make one to three attempts to deliver a package. After the attempts at delivery, either a note will be left on the recipient's door or the package will be returned to us. We will be more than happy to refresh your packages and re-ship once you can confirm the delivery details. A second shipping charge will need to be applied.
 
 
Substitution Policy
   We reserve the right to substitute a product at an equal or greater value in any of our baskets.
